- How are you approaching this opportunity with the Eagles?
Williams: “I just want to be the best I can be and to encourage my teammates to be the best they can be. I know that the competition I’m going to face – I’m already facing it – is going to bring out the very best in me. Look around this building – you see Super Bowl winners all over the place. The offensive line is great from top to bottom. I am here to compete to the best of my ability and I am excited about that.”
- What kind of a jump is it from Texas to the NFL?
Williams: “It’s a huge jump, from college to the NFL. There are professionals here. There are grown men here. The technique is perfect. You have to be perfect to win on every snap of the football. There is a demand for being focused at all times, of knowing that you’re going to be tested on and off the field. Everybody wants you to be the best version of yourself and that’s something that is important to understand. You have to win at everything at every level.”
- What are your first impressions of Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Jeff Stoutland?
Williams: “He’s the best in the business. Very demanding. Great personality and energy. Puts everything into it. Look at the guys he’s had and you see the success, so he knows what he’s doing. If you listen to what he’s telling you to do, you’re going to play your best football. That’s what I’m here to do – play my best football and help the Eagles win. Our offensive line room – all great, great players and everybody talks about how much Coach Stout has helped them.”
