SEC announces UT conference opponents for 2025-26 basketball season

The Vols are scheduled to host nine SEC games at home against Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Southeastern Conference has announced the home and away conference matchups for the 2025–26 college basketball season.

The conference is slated to will run from Jan. 3 to March 7 with each team in the conference playing 18 games, according to a release. The Vols are scheduled to host nine SEC games at home in Food City Center against Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. 

UT will also play Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt on the road. The upcoming schedule is nearly opposite from of the 2024-25 schedule, with the exception of Alabama playing a home-and-home matchup in place of Florida, the release said. 

Tennessee will play three SEC teams both at home and on the road, the University of Alabama, the University of Kentucky and Vanderbilt University. 

The 2025-26 season comes after one of the Vols best in program history, going 30-8 for the year, placing fifth in the Associated Press poll and reaching the Elite Eight for the second consecutive year in a row. Game dates and times for the season are expected to be released later in the offseason.
