SEE SARK: Steve Sarkisian appears different in EA College Football 2026

Sarkisian looks just a tad bit different.

Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian is among the more than 300 real-life coaches making their debut in EA Sports College Football 26, the highly anticipated video game set for release on July 10. The latest reveal trailer, released Thursday, prominently features Sarkisian leading his team out of the tunnel at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium, flanked by star quarterback Arch Manning and other key Longhorns.

This marks a significant milestone for the franchise, as it is the first time actual college football coaches will appear in the game, replacing the generic sideline figures of previous editions. Sarkisian’s digital likeness is a fixture in the trailer, even as he opted out of the official cover photo shoot for this year’s edition.

Despite not appearing on the cover, Sarkisian shared a lighthearted jab on social media about his avatar’s attire, noting the absence of his trademark sunglasses: “Polo with No Shades??”

The likenesses of many of the included players and coaches were discussed on social media through Thursday after the trailer release.

The trailer showcases Texas players and coaches in several sequences, including a play featuring Manning and receiver Ryan Wingo. The game itself promises a host of new features, such as cross-play in Dynasty mode, expanded transfer portal mechanics, and high school recruiting, as well as more than 2,700 new plays and 160 school-specific chants.

EA Sports College Football 26 will be available July 10, marking the second installment since the franchise’s return after an 11-year hiatus.
