Six Billings West baseball players sign to play collegiate ball

BILLINGS — Six Billings West baseball players have signed to play collegiate baseball.

The group participated in a ceremonial signing at Billings West on Wednesday. The Golden Bears are 12-1 overall this year and 10-1 in league play. 

Golden Bears signing to play college with their collegiate team in parentheses are: Brady Randall (Montana State University Billings), Colton Wells (Dakota Wesleyan), Owen Schneider (Whitworth University), Carson Steinmetz (Mayville State), Sam Reinker (Iowa Lakes), and Chase Wise (Allan Hancock).

Randall is projected to be an outfielder. Randall was a member of the Billings Scarlets team that reached the American Legion World Series last year.

Wells is slated to be a collegiate pitcher. He played last summer with Upper Deck baseball.

Schneider will be a pitcher in college. He played for the Class A American Legion Billings Cardinals last year. 

Steinmetz is projected to be a pitcher and infielder at the college level. He was a member of the Billings Cardinals last year.

Reinker will be a pitcher next year in college. He was a Billings Cardinal last summer.

Wise had previously announced his signing with Allan Hancock. He played on the Scarlets team last year that advanced to the Legion World Series.
