PROVO, Utah- The No. 23 Kansas Jayhawks visited Provo for the first time since 1960, now as conference-mates with BYU in the Big 12. At tipoff, the Cougars and Jayhawks were tied in the conference standings, and the result was going to be a huge boost for the winner as we enter the final stretch of the regular season.
The upward-trending Cougars were 2.5-point favorites over Kansas on Tuesday night, but nobody could have imagined the trouncing BYU put on the Jayhawks. The Cougars’ 14 threes gave them a game-high lead of 38 with 2:27 left in the game, sending social media into a frenzy.
