The Hatters enter as ASUN co-champions, receiving the conference’s automatic bid as the higher seed after the final three innings of the league title game against Florida Gulf Coast were scrapped due to inclement weather. The Wolfpack earned an at-large bid out of the ACC.
This will be the teams’ first meeting since 2014.

The Hatters weren’t done following the pitching change.
After a sacrifice fly by Salvador Alvarez, Barkett, batting for the second time in the frame, launched a two-run double into the gap in right-center field.
Once the delay finally ended, Stetson wasted no time getting on the board. The Hatters have already caused an NC State pitching change.
Isaiah Barkett and Juan De La Cruz led off the game with back-to-back walks against Wolfpack starter Dominic Fritton. Both later scored, Barkett on an error and De La Cruz on a bases-loaded walk to Foster Apple.
Following a strikeout of Jordan Taylor for the first out of the inning, Evan Griffis lined a single into right field to score two more.
Fritton threw 33 pitches. Anderson Nance (3.51 ERA in 51⅓ innings) is the new hurler.
A new start time has officially been set for 4:16 p.m. EST.
If that holds, the rain delay will have postponed the first pitch by two hours and 16 minutes past the original schedule.
Still under a weather delay in Auburn, but the Hatters and Wolfpack should be progressing toward the first pitch. The tarp is now off the field at Plainsman Park.
The Hatters and Wolfpack will not start on time due to bad weather in Auburn. The delay was announced shortly after 1 p.m., less than an hour before the scheduled first pitch.
The Hatters will throw their ace.
ASUN Pitcher of the Year Jonathan Gonzalez takes the ball in Game 1 of the Auburn Regional. The redshirt senior lefty holds a 1.95 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 87⅔ innings this spring.
This will be his 15th start.
Opposing him will be Dominic Fritton. The NC State southpaw enters with a 5-4 record and an ERA of 4.00.
