TCU enters, Ohio State drops out of latest women’s basketball Power 10 rankings

NCAA.com correspondent Autumn Johnson dropped her latest Power 10 rankings. Here’s what you need to know:

⛹️‍♀️ MORE WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL ⛹️‍♀️

1. UCLA (Previously 1) 

The Bruins face nonconference foe Baylor in the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic in New Jersey on Monday and will play its fourth ranked matchup of the season against Maryland later in the week.  

2. South Carolina (Previously 2)

The Gamecocks’ 101-60 win over Oklahoma marked their largest margin in program history over a ranked foe. And congrats to coach Dawn Staley for extending her contract through 2030, making her the highest-paid women’s college coach in history!

3. Notre Dame (Previously 3)

A big win over Georgia Tech, the Fighting Irish are 7-0 in the ACC for the first time since the 2018-19 season. 

4. Southern California (Previously 4)

The Trojans held off Indiana 73-66 for a gritty road win behind five players finishing with double digits in points, led by guard Juju Watkins’ 22 points. 

5. UConn (Previously 5)

Congrats to guard Paige Bueckers for recording her 2000th career point, making her the fastest Husky to do so. Plus, forward Aubrey Griffin is BACK after 381 days, adding more depth and experience to UConn’s lineup. 

6. LSU (Previously 6)

With a win over Florida, LSU remains undefeated and coach Kim Mulkey has achieved 20-plus wins in all 25 seasons as a head coach. Next up… South Carolina on the road! 

7. Maryland (Previously 8)

The Terps picked up their third ranked win of the season over Minnesota. Maryland arguably has its toughest week of regular season games over the next seven days with three straight top 10 opponents in the Coretta Scott King Classic.

8. Texas (Previously 9)

Like Maryland, the Longhorns will also compete in the Coretta Scott King Classic and face the Terps for a HUGE ranking implication game.  

9. Kansas State (Previously 10)

The Wildcats took down the state of Arizona this past week, beating both Arizona and Arizona State. 

10. TCU (Previously NR)

The Horned Frogs are on a 10-game winning streak and picked up another ranked win over Utah, leaning on the Big 3 of guards Hailey Van Lit and Madison Conner and center Sedona Prince. 

Dropped Out

Ohio State — The Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the season to unranked Penn State.
