Fresh off a week in which it split its four games but earned a series win against LSU, the Texas baseball team is on the rise.
Earlier this week, Texas improved its standing in four of college baseball’s five major polls. The Longhorns moved up a spot in both the D1Baseball (No. 7) and Perfect Game (No. 5) rankings and up two spots in the Baseball America (No. 3) and NCBWA (No. 7) polls. Texas remained ranked No. 7 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
Texas (19-3) will look to prove the voters right this week over four games against Sam Houston (7-17) and Missouri (8-14). Up first is Tuesday night’s home game against a Sam Houston team that UT owns a record of 84-19 against.
