The NFL team Aaron Rodgers would never go to: “No. I’m too old and I don’t want to live there. I’m sorry”

It’s over two months since Aaron Rodgers was released by the New York Jets and his future still remains up in the air.

Rodger’s three-year contract with the Jets expired in mid-March, leaving the 41-year-old free to sign with the team of his choice – the first time in his 20-year career that he has been a free agent.

Teams line up to secure Aaron Rodgers

The veteran QB has been linked with a number of teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Giants and the Vikings, but Rodgers would only return to play as a starting quarterback.

The future Hall of Famer and four-time MVP recently gave some hints about where his future could lie after taking part in a fan question-and-answer session at an event hosted by rapper Mike Stud for his Ya Neva Know: you know what I mean? podcast.

When asked if he would consider joining the Chicago Bears, Rodgers replied. “No, but I believe there’s a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip. I don’t know, not sure. Got to check it out. I love Chicago, though. Way more than they love me. It’s been a great relationship. All one way.”

The Saints also isn’t an option, as Rodgers explained that he doesn’t see himself in New Orleans in a blunt answer to another fan: “No. That’s the answer. No. I’ve played there a couple of times but no. The answer is no. I’m too old, I don’t want to live in Louisiana. Sorry!”

The Steelers remains an option as edge rusher Alex Highsmith told The Insiders.“No matter who’s back there for us, whether it’s [Mason Rudolph] or if Aaron Rodgers is gonna come, I’m just excited. Whoever’s back there, we’re gonna have their backs and we’re gonna rally behind them. Just excited for whoever it’s gonna be.”
