Alex Hunter dives into tonight’s NBA 10-game main slate to find three players you need to have in your DraftKings lineups.

On the menu for Thursday is a five-game slate. Below, I dive into three of my favorite DFS options to consider for tonight’s NBA action.

SG/SF, Coby White, Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets, $7,300

The Bulls are going to be extremely shorthanded in their backcourt tonight. Ayo Dosunumu (shoulder) is out for the season, Lonzo Ball (wrist) is doubtful, and the flourishing Josh Giddey (ankle) is also doubtful. Giddey has been putting up huge numbers with Ball and Dosunumu out for the last four. With Giddey now joining them on the sidelines, White is going to be the Bulls’ alpha tonight and produce a huge stat line.

White has made two starts with Giddey, Ball and Dosunumu inactive this season, and he generated 45.1 FPTS per game on those occasions. With Giddey, Ball, and Dosunmu off the floor this season, White scores 1.2 FPTS per minute, which is attributed to his usage and assist rates increasing 3.8 and 2.4 percentage points, respectively. Facing a Nets’ defense that ranks 25th in rating since the All-Star break, White should eclipse 40 FPTS and is one of the best values on the board.

PG/SF, Cam Thomas, Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls, $6,400

Thomas continues to be underpriced, and him being SF eligible tonight is valuable for roster construction. Thomas is coming off a 34.25 FPTS outing vs. the top seeded Cavaliers, which is his third effort of at least 34 FPTS in his last four starts. He is a shoot-first player who ranks fifth in the NBA usage rate this season and with Noah Clowney (ankle) out for the Nets tonight, Thomas’ usage should be even higher than usual.

Thomas’ usage rises 2.5 percentage points to a huge 35.9% with Clowney inactive this season, and going against the Bulls is a huge pace increase for Thomas. Chicago ranks second in pace this season, while Brooklyn ranks 29th. Thomas posted 41 FPTS in his lone start against the Bulls this season, and he has similar upside tonight.

C, Jalen Duren, Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards, $6,900

The Pistons will be hosting the tanking Wizards for the second straight game and in the first leg of this miniseries, Duren posted a double-double of 36.25 FPTS. Since the All-Star break, Duren is generating 36 FPTS in 26.5 minutes per game, and he has reached DraftKings’ double-double bonus in eight of his 11 starts.

No team in the NBA is giving up more rebounds than Washington this season and the Pistons present the highest implied team total on the slate at 125.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. This is the largest team total Detroit has seen this season and Duren is the best way to gain access to the Pistons at this sub $7K salary.
