Tigers ace, birthday boy Tarik Skubal gets a new car, the Cy Young and his own bobblehead

Tarik Skubal’s got his keepsake. Now, fans can get theirs.

FOCO, a national manufacturer of apparel, toys and accessories, announced Thursday it is releasing a limited-edition Skubal bobblehead, a day after the Tigers ace won the American League Cy Young Award in a unanimous vote.

Tigers ace Tarik Skubal will get his own bobblehead to commemorate his American League Cy Young Award.

The bobblehead, which will stand 8 inches tall and feature Skubal in his home white Tigers uniform and holding his Cy Young Award, will cost $80. Only 224 will be sold. Pre-orders are being accepted at foco.com.

This is the second limited-edition Tigers bobblehead produced by FOCO in recent months, after it released one to celebrate Kerry Carpenter’s clutch home run against the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Division Series. Only 72 Carpenter bobbleheads were produced, and they sold out.

Skubal, 28, became the fifth Tigers pitcher to win the Cy Young and first since Max Scherzer in 2013, after winning the AL Triple Crown in 2024 ― leading the league in wins (18), ERA (2.39) and strikeouts (228). Skubal became the third Tigers pitcher to win the Cy Young in a unanimous vote, after Justin Verlander (2011) and Denny McLain (1968).

Wednesday was quite the memorable day for Skubal, who also was celebrating his birthday. His wife, Jessica, surprised him with a new car, while friends and family serenaded him, then doused him with champagne after winning the Cy Young. MLB posted video of the Skubal celebration on X (formerly Twitter).
