I wonder if the Yankees were a bit annoyed after Opening Day at the suggestion that they only used Yankee Stadium Specials to win that one. If so, let us hope that they continue to be peeved today, as they belted a franchise-record nine homers in a 20-9 pummeling of the Brewers. They have the Opening Day Series win, but there’s no time to let up! Finish the sweep today and make a statement with a sweep of 2024 division winner to kick off 2025. Hell, maybe make it three consecutive days with a leadoff homer while you’re at it.
We were a bit packed on the site yesterday, so we’re taking a semi-breather. We’ll still have the staples though, with the latest trivia game, a minors recap on Triple-A Scranton’s second game of the season, Matt on the Rivalry Roundup, and John with the weekly Social Media Spotlight. That edition is extra fun this week due to all the Opening Day festivities!

Questions/Prompts:
1. Unlike for the past two games, we’re not doing a post today about it, but if you had to make a non-Aaron Judge pick for someone on the Yankees to go deep against Aaron Civale, who would it be?
2. Which of the nine homers yesterday made you deliriously laugh the most?
