NFL Free Agency starts in less than two months, on March 12 and teams will be making deals fast with the top players. Teams will be looking to fill the holes on their team and get ready for the NFL Draft in April. Every year there is a strong group of players that make up the top of the free agent list and every team thinks they will get someone and it will make them a Super Bowl contender. Teams don’t often build through free agency, but it is the best way to supplement talent onto your team. With that said, here are the top ten available free agents.

What’s Next for John Spytek, Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas …
10. Zack Baun, LB, Eagles:
Baun isn’t going to fit every defense, but he has been elite for Vic Fangio and the Eagles this year. Baun has been an elite coverage linebacker for them, but also played the run and pass at a high level. Can he do that outside of Philly? We don’t know, but he has been elite this year.
9. Charvarius Ward, CB, 49ers:
Ward had a down year in 2024, but that is no surprise with all that happened in his personal life. Ward is still a top tier cornerback and teams should be running to sign him if they need a corner.
8. DJ Reed, CB, New York Jets:
Reed has been a good cornerback for a while now, but he took his game up to another level last season. He was the best cornerback on a team that already has Sauce Gardner. He’s looking at a big payday.
7. Stefon Diggs, WR, Houston Texans:
Diggs would be higher on this list if it was just a few years ago, However, a less than ideal departure from Buffalo and then a season ending injury drop him down a bit. He is still a high end receiver and a number of teams need one. He won’t be out of work for long.
6. Josh Sweat, Edge, Philadelphia Eagles:
Sweat has been a good player in Philadelphia since he was drafted. He is a strong pass rusher and is stout against the run. When the Eagles needed him to step up this year he did and earned himself a nice payday.
5. Jevon Holland, S, Miami Dolphins:
Holland is the best safety on the market and is going to get paid. Holland had a little bit of a down year this past season, but most of Miami did. Holland is one of the better safeties in the NFL and his body of work has shown that.
4. Khalil Mack, Edge, Los Angeles Chargers:
Mack is still a feared pass rusher in the NFL and NFL teams always need pass rushers. He’s going to get a strong two or three year deal and make some team very happy. He probably wants to go to a contender and try to get a ring, but if a young team can get him, he would be a great mentor.
3. Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Godwin is an elite receiver, but had a season ending injury again this season. When healthy he is an elite slot receiver that is reliable and will move the chains. He has been an important cog in the Buccaneers offense his entire career and any team would be lucky to have him.
2. Trey Smith, G, Kansas City Chiefs:
The best guard in free agency and one of the top guards in the league, Smith is going to have a lot of teams that want him. He is still just 25 and will be looking for a long term deal paying him over 20 million a year and he is worth every penny.
1. Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals:
Higgins is likely going nowhere this season. The Bengals likely franchise tag him again at the least, but if he hits free agency he is going to get a huge contract. He has missed some time with injuries, but when healthy is a top ten to fifteen receiver in the league.
