The 2025 NFL draft should be three days of enjoyment for Colorado fans as the Buffaloes project to have several players drafted, including two going in the top 10.
Colorado’s star duo of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders have begun to have their draft projections narrowed down. Multiple mock drafts have the pair going at No. 3 and No. 4 overall, respectively.
NFL Network’s latest mock from Chad Reuter concurs with the latest trends, projecting that Hunter and Sanders will go back-to-back at No. 3 and No. 4 overall.
The New York Giants would be getting their quarterback of the future in Sanders. With his IQ and anticipatory throws, Sanders can beat defenses despite not being the most complete passer. He would also be an immediate leader in the Giants locker room, which has lacked such a presence in recent years. He and Malik Nabers would be an instant must-see duo in the Big Apple.
As for Hunter, Reuter has him going to the New England Patriots one pick later. There, he would become the top playmaker on an offense with very little to offer and desperately seeking a true No. 1 wide receiver. Defensively, Hunter could step in and form a dominant tandem with Christian Gonzalez, making New England’s pass defense a top unit in the NFL.
New York and New England seem like the consensus two teams likely to select Colorado’s two stars when the NFL draft goes down from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
