Two Big 12 Basketball Blue Bloods Schedule 2027 Games at NFL Stadium

On Sunday, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein provided an interesting scheduling update to the 2027-2028 college basketball season.

Two teams from the Big 12 Conference will take the court as a feature double header, live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Those two teams are Arizona and Kansas, which will tip off against Duke and Indiana.

“Arizona will play Duke and Kansas will face Indiana in a doubleheader at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in November of 2027, the Hall-of-Fame — who’s running the event — told College Hoops Today,” Rothstein said. “An official announcement is expected on Sunday. The event will serve as a precursor to the 2028 Final Four, which will be played in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.”

While the games won’t take place for a few more years, the pair of Big 12 heavyweights are expected to be among some of the nation’s best in 2024-25. Kansas, led by legendary head coach Bill Self, took home the honor of being named the nation’s top-ranked team in the Preseason AP Poll. Arizona, ahead of their first season in a new league, earned a preseason No. 10 ranking.

After hosting Big 12 Media Days in 2024 and now debuting a college basketball double header in 2027, the Las Vegas market continues to be a profitable area for Brett Yormark and the Big 12 to utilize.
