Cincinnati Reds: Hunter Greene discusses March 5 outing vs. Texas Rangers
Hunter Greene tossed four scoreless innings against the Texas Rangers.
Tyler Naquin, who spent parts of two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and last played in MLB in 2023 with the Chicago White Sox, signed a minor-league contract with the Cleveland Guardians, converted to a right-handed pitcher and reported to Goodyear, where both teams train.
Naquin was known for his arm strength as an outfielder. In 658 plate appearances over two seasons with the Reds, he batted .263 with 26 home runs. The Reds traded him in July 2022 with Phillip Diehl to the New York Mets for Jose Acuna and Hector Rodriguez.
A 2012 first-round pick of Cleveland, he played his first five MLB seasons there.
Naquin hit a game-tying, two-run homer for the Reds against the Guardians in April 2022.
