Updating Tennessee in college baseball polls following 16-0 start under Tony Vitello

Tennessee baseball is the No. 1 team in the nation in the USA TODAY coaches poll for the third straight week as SEC play looms.

The Vols are off to the best start in program history at 16-0 after a 5-0 week. They swept St. Bonaventure in their final nonconference series after beating Radford and Xavier in midweek games.

Tennessee received 25 of 29 first-place votes.

UT hosts Florida to open SEC play in a three-game series starting Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
