Vanderbilt baseball dropped out of the top 10 of the polls after losing a series at Ole Miss.
The Commodores (31-13, 12-9 SEC) were ranked in the top 10 for the first time all season a week ago, but they dropped after losing a midweek game to Middle Tennessee and then two of three games to the Rebels (31-13, 12-9).
Vanderbilt will return home to Hawkins Field to face Alabama (35-10, 12-9) beginning May 2.
So far this season, the Commodores have home series sweeps over Georgia and Texas A&M with a road sweep of Florida. They were swept by Arkansas at home and lost road series against Auburn and Oklahoma.
Vanderbilt is currently tied for fifth in the SEC standings with Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama.
In the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, the Commodores are ranked seventh among SEC teams.
