USC looked sharp against Tulane and advanced in the bracket
This week, USC men’s basketball heads to Las Vegas to wrap up its season at the first ever College Basketball Crown. On Tuesday night, the Trojans opened the tournament in impressive fashion, dominating Tulane en route to an 89-60 victory.
The performance was even more impressive given the fact that USC went into the game without two of its starters. Wesley Yates III was spotted on the bench in a walking boot, while Chibuzo Agbo did not play due to an undisclosed injury.
With Yates III and Agbo out, Rashaun Agee led the way for the Trojans. He scored 27 points on an incredible 10-of-12 shooting performance from the field. Saint Thomas and Clark Slajchert both also finished in double figures for USC, scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively.
The first everCollege Basketball Crown is being held in Las Vegas from March 31 through April 6. It features 16 teams from the Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, American Athletic Conference, West Coast Conference, Mountain West, and Atlantic 10.
USC now advanced on to the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Trojans will take on Villanova on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time.
