
Washburn men’s basketball on Elite 8 win against Lenoir-Rhyne

No. 4 Washburn’s postseason journey continues on Thursday. The Ichabods take on No. 1 Nova Southeastern (34-1) in the Final Four at 8:30 p.m.
The Sharks have been one of the best teams in the nation. They have reached the national title game in back-to-back seasons, claiming the title in 2023. They have won 21 straight games coming into Thursday’s matchup, which is the longest winning streak across all divisions of college basketball.
This is the third time in program history that the Ichabods have reached the Final Four, the last time coming in 2001. This will be the first meeting in history between Washburn and Nova Southeastern.
