Washington Football head coach Jedd Fisch included in EA Sports College Football 26

As the EA Sports team continues to refine College Football 26 ahead of its scheduled release date on July 10, one new feature that the second installment of the beloved game will have is the inclusion of head coaches from around the country who choose to opt into the game.

On Friday morning, the Washington Huskies announced that Fisch has opted into the game ahead of the 2026 season, a fun sign for fans and gamers who may be looking to build a dynasty of their own on Montlake.

With an improved version of quarterback Demond Williams Jr., running back Jonah Coleman, and wide receiver Denzel Boston coming back for the 2025 season, both the real and virtual Fisch will have a promising assortment of weapons at his disposal going forward.

Both versions of Fisch will also have one of the best home-field advantages in college football. The developers confirmed that they worked on improving the Stadium Pulse feature, which gives users a leg up when playing at home.

“Experience enhanced Stadium Pulse effects, including a more intense camera shake, new heads-up display visuals, and clock distortion that simulates the high pressure of playing as a visitor in hostile territory,” a press release on EA’s website reads. “Rivalry games, the College Football Playoff, and other high-stakes matchups are now even more affected by Stadium Pulse. When you’re on the road, use your Confidence & Composure to help counteract the rattling environment.”

Adding Fisch and other coaches to the game should help make for a realistic college football experience that has made the game so popular since its return.
