With the conclusion of the 2024 college football season last week, fans across the country are already counting down the days until the 2025 season.
Though that is more than 200 days, a long cold winter, and an even longer spring away, fans who can’t wait to watch their respective teams take the field can take solace in the fact that when their teams take the field for week one on Saturday, August 30, there’s going to be an absolutely loaded slate on the schedule in the sport as a whole.

The Texas Longhorns will hit the road to take on the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes while the LSU Tigers will have a Death Valley battle for supremacy on the road against Clemson.
Alabama and Auburn each have marquee road non-conference games with the Tide taking on Florida State and the Tigers facing Baylor.
On top of all that, Notre Dame will face Miami, Tennessee will play Syracuse, South Carolina takes on Virginia Tech and several other huge non-conference tilts.
It’s not particularly close and it’s going to be a long wait, but the college football powers that be will reward fans for their patience when the 2025 season officially kicks off.
