An SEC-vs.-SEC heavyweight matchup between No. 6 LSU and No. 3 Arkansas headlines Day 2 of the competition at the College World Series.
The Tigers and Razorbacks are set for a 7 p.m. ET first pitch at Charles Schwab Field Omaha on June 14. It’s the first meeting between the programs — who entered the CWS as the top two betting favorites to win it all — since LSU took two of three games against Arkansas in early May during the regular season.
Headlined by star infielder Wehiwa Aloy, the Razorbacks defeated reigning national champion and No. 14 national seed Tennessee in the super regionals to make it back to Omaha for the fourth time in the last seven NCAA baseball tournaments. As for Jay Johnson’s Tigers, star left-handed pitcher Kade Anderson has helped pitch LSU back to the CWS for the first time since winning it all in 2023.
The winner of LSU and Arkansas will advance further in the “winner’s bracket” of Bracket 2 play at the CWS, while the loser will drop into the “elimination bracket” and face the loser of Murray State vs. No. 15 UCLA, which precedes the Tigers and Razorbacks.
