Penn State and Notre Dame are teams that are built similarly, at least according to PSU coach James Franklin on Saturday. They’re both big and physical up front, led by confident quarterbacks, tough defense and want to run it down your throat.
They’re also both dealing with some key injuries, as there are questions about Penn State star pass rusher Abdul Carter’s availability, while the same is true for Notre Dame star running back Jermiyah Love.
Regardless of whether those two play, though, Thursday’s Orange Bowl for the College Football Playoff is bound to be a good one. These two teams are buoyed by deep history, including against each other. And there’s a trip to the national championship on the line.
