On Monday, May 26th, the NCAA Regional selections will mark the start of the journey to Omaha. This is “Selection Monday,” when the 64-team field, 16 regional host locations, and seeding for each regional are revealed. 1. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation today as teams discover their postseason games and destinations.
The NCAA Regionals will be held from Friday, May 30, to Monday, June 2, only a few days later. The 16 college locations chosen on Selection Monday host these four-team, double-elimination competitions. Expect fierce competition as teams compete to be the final team standing in their region and make it to the Super Regionals.
The Road to Omaha: Super Regionals and the College World Series
The NCAA Super Regionals, which are set for Friday, June 6–Monday, June 9, raise the stakes even further when the Regional round is over. The 16 regional winners compete against one another in these best-of-three series, which are held at eight university locations. Your ticket to the College World Series, the promised land, gets punched when you win a Super Regional!
And lastly, the Men’s College World Series, which takes place from Friday, June 13, through Sunday, June 22 or Monday, June 23, is the event that every college baseball fan looks forward to.
