As Arkansas baseball continues its quest for a national championship at the 2025 College World Series, the third-ranked Razorbacks stand as the team to beat in the eight-team field in Omaha, Nebraska.

And the Razorbacks’ first opponent in that quest for championship is not an easy one to beat: No. 6 LSU.

Arkansas and LSU are scheduled to close Day 2 of competition at the CWS with a 6 p.m. CT first pitch at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

Arkansas cruised through the postseason to return to the Mecca of college baseball for the first time since 2022, going a perfect 5-0 in the Fayetteville Regional and Fayetteville Super Regionals. The Razorbacks also took down reigning national champion Tennessee in the super regionals to reach Omaha, Nebraska.

On the bump vs. LSU for Arkansas on June 14 is southpaw Zach Root, who has allowed just one earned run while striking out 13 batters across 13 innings of action this postseason.

Here’s what to know about Arkansas’ opening game at the CWS, including first pitch information and more:
