Arkansas baseball has been in survive-and-advance mode for the past few days at the 2025 College World Series,

The No. 3-seeded Razorbacks dropped their opener in the CWS at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 14, but have bounced back with wins in elimination games on back-to-back days on June 16 and 17. That included a historic no-hit performance from Gage Wood against Murray State.

Now the Razorbacks can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel, as they are just two wins away from reaching the championship series, which starts on June 21. However, they are still in fight-or-flight mode, as one more loss could spell the end of their season.

Who does Arkansas play in College World Series?

  • Arkansas’ next CWS opponent: No. 6 LSU

Arkansas gets a familiar foe next in the CWS. The Razorbacks will take on the No. 6 seed LSU. The Tigers defeated Arkansas 4-1 in the opener of the CWS behind a dominant start from Kade Anderson.

During the regular season, LSU also took two out of three games against Arkansas in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Tigers opened with a 5-4 win in 10 innings on May 9 and followed it up with a run-rule 13-3 victory on May 10.

The Razorbacks salvaged the series finale with a 7-4 win on May 11.

When does Arkansas play next in College World Series?

Arkansas’ next game against LSU for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch from Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. The Razorbacks need to beat the Tigers twice, starting with the June 18 game, to advance to the championship series. However, one loss will end their season.

The Razorbacks lost to LSU 4-1 to open the CWS on June 14 against a future 2025 MLB first round pick in Kade Anderson. Gage Wood fired a no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Murray State on June 16 in an elimination game. The Razorbacks earned a 7-3 win over No. 15 UCLA in another elimination game on June 17.

Arkansas’ semifinal game against LSU will air on ESPN. Streaming options include the ESPN app (with a cable login), ESPN+, which serves as ESPN’s subscription streaming service, and Fubo, which carries the ESPN family of networks and offers a free trial.
