If Louisville baseball wants to end its College World Series drought, the Cardinals’ new path will include winning out of the elimination bracket in Omaha, Nebraska.

That path begins on June 15 against Arizona.

The Cardinals and Wildcats are slated to play a 2 p.m. ET elimination game at the College World Series from Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Louisville was one walk-off double down the left field line away from having a chance to fully complete the come-from-behind victory against No. 8 Oregon State on June 14. As a result of Gavin Turley’s timely hit for the Beavers, the Cardinals’ own heroics in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 3-3 were ultimately for naught.

The Cardinals enter their elimination game vs. the Wildcats with a 5-2 record in the NCAA baseball tournament this season. Here’s what to know about Louisville’s next game at the CWS, including first pitch information and more:

A player to watch out for on Arizona is junior shortstop Mason White. The Tucson, Arizona native is hitting a career-high .332 at the plate this season with 20 home runs. In Arizona’s 7-4 loss to Coastal Carolina, White finished 1 for 3 at the plate with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored.
