Meanwhile, Xavier is firmly on the bubble, while Dayton looks like a longshot to make the field.

The games begin March 18, as the University of Dayton will host the “First Four” round at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The city has hosted the earliest tournament games every year but one since 2011. This year, the men’s tournament starts the day after St. Patrick’s Day, with the women’s tourney starting one day later:
- Men’s NCAA Tournament: Tuesday, March 18
- Women’s NCAA Tournament: Wednesday, March 19
What day is Selection Sunday?
The Selection Committee will reveal the full NCAA tournament bracket on Sunday, March 16 for both the men’s and women’s NCAA teams.

March Madness is a tournament involving 68 NCAA basketball teams that compete for the national championship title. There are seven rounds that lead to the last four teams left, known as the Final Four.
