The Eagles traded the 18th overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft to the Tennessee Titans for Brown’s services. Since the deal, Philadelphia is getting ready for its second Super Bowl appearance in three years. Brown has been a significant reason for the Eagles’ success despite missing time with an injury. Brown surpassed 1,000 yards receiving for the third straight year with Philadelphia, finishing the season with 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games. Last season, he had career-highs with 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns.

Where did A.J. Brown play college football?

Brown and fellow 2016 receiver recruit DK Metcalf came to Starkville as part of a highly touted recruiting class that ranked No. 5 per 247 Sports composite rankings. Brown was the No. 36 player in the class, while Metcalf was the No. 110-ranked player.

As a freshman, Brown played in all 12 games with the Rebels and finished fifth on the team with 29 receptions for 412 yards and two touchdowns. His 34.3 yards per game ranked fourth among SEC freshman receivers.

Brown stepped up to a more prominent role as a sophomore and 75 receptions for a school-record 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns, which tied Laqoun Treadwell for most TDs in program history. He had 14 receptions (tied school record) for 185 yards and two touchdowns against Louisiana on Nov. 11, 2017. He broke the then-school record of 233 yards in a game vs. South Alabama on Sept. 2, 2017.

In his final collegiate season, he led the SEC with 85 receptions for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns. His yardage is still the school record for a single season. After the season, he announced his intention to enter the 2019 NFL draft, forgoing his final collegiate season.
