Where will Alabama football top prospects go in 2025 NFL draft? Best-case scenarios

Alabama football may not have the superstars at the top of the 2025 NFL draft class. But the Crimson Tide has a significant chance of continuing its track record of first-round picks.

Alabama has had multiple first-round draft picks in eight straight NFL drafts, starting with cornerback Marlon Humphrey (No. 16 Baltimore Ravens), defensive end Jonathan Allen (No. 17 Washington Redskins), tight end O.J. Howard (No. 19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and linebacker Reuben Foster (No. 31 San Francisco 49ers) in 2017.

Heading into 2025, linebacker Jihaad Campbell, offensive lineman Tyler Booker and quarterback Jalen Milroe are each planning on attending the draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, hoping to walk across the stage Thursday night as the next Crimson Tide first-round draft pick.

What is the best-case scenario for Alabama in the 2025 NFL draft? Here’s a look for the Crimson Tide’s top five draft prospects.

Jihaad Campbell NFL draft projection: Best-case scenario

Campbell already enters in the 2025 NFL draft living his best-case scenario.

According to ESPN, Campbell is the top linebacker on the 2025 draft board ahead of players like UCLA’s Carson Schwesinger, South Carolina’s Demetrius Knight Jr. and Clemson’s Barrett Carter. After earning first-team All-SEC honors and second-team All-American honors as a junior in 2024, Campbell is on a path to being the Crimson Tide’s first first-round linebacker selection since Rashaan Evans was selected No. 22 overall in 2018.

The true best-case scenario comes as a matter of where in the first round Campbell is selected, especially if it’s in the first half of Thursday.

Tyler Booker NFL draft projection: Best-case scenario

Like Campbell, Booker also seems to be in his best-case scenario.

Per ESPN, Booker is the top guard in the 2025 draft class ahead of North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel, Arizona’s Jonah Savaiinaea and Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson, and very well could be the first guard selected in the first round of the NFL draft since Texas A&M’s Kenyon Green, Boston College’s Zion Johnson and Chattanooga’s Cole Strange were each selected in 2022. And after an All-American career at Alabama where he served as team captain, this seems possible.

While Zabel, Savaiinaea and Jackson have each shown more positional versatility than Booker, the best-case scenario for the Crimson Tide guard is he is the first one of the four selected, likely at the end of the first round.

Jalen Milroe NFL draft projection: Best-case scenario

Milroe will not be the first quarterback off the board Thursday.

The front of the 2025 NFL draft quarterback class seems all but set, with Miami’s Cam Ward, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart taking the first three slots. But that fourth spot could go to a quarterback like Milroe, widely regarded as a project, but who led the Crimson Tide in rushing and combined for 71 touchdowns in two seasons as its starting quarterback.

If Milroe is that fourth quarterback off the board, his best-case scenario would be being selected by a quarterback-hungry team that trades up into the first round, or to a team in the second round with a veteran quarterback secured for Milroe to develop under.

Malachi Moore NFL draft projection: Best-case scenario

Malachi Moore has been a mainstay for the Alabama defense since his arrival in 2020, one who played both nickel and deep safety for the Crimson Tide and left as a captain and a national champion.

Size may not be on Moore’s side at 5-foot-11, 196 pounds, especially when it comes to run responsibilities at safety. But with his track record at Alabama, and his leadership with the Crimson Tide, Moore could be picked sooner than expected, even if it still is on Day 3.

Que Robinson NFL draft projection: Best-case scenario

Que Robinson may not have as much experience as other defensive players in the NFL draft. He may not have a set position like many others, playing mostly linebacker for the Crimson Tide, but projecting as more of a defensive end at the next level.

But Robinson has shown flashes of potential, especially in the pass rush and on special teams, which was his primary role in both 2022 and 2023. Robinson could be a Day 3 flier for a team looking for defensive depth.
