The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers lived up to the hype of their regular-season clash at TD Garden on Saturday.
Boston earned a 111-101 victory as stars such as Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James and Luka Doncic each took chances to dominate the game for each side.
Fans certainly turned in for another solid battle between two historic rivals and the broadcast viewership reports certainly backed that up. The NBA and ESPN posted to X Tuesday that the Lakers-Celtics game marked the most-watched regular-season game, excluding Christmas Day contests, for the league in seven years.
The star power, especially following the league-shattering trade that sent Doncic to Los Angeles only heightened the anticipation around the showdown and displayed what a seven-game series could look like down the road.
Will the Celtics and Lakers meet again in June for a potential 13th championship matchup?
