MADISON – Official visit season is off to a smashing start for Wisconsin.

The Badgers football team wrapped up their first batch of official visits on June 1. By the end of the day three of the 16 players who were on campus for the weekend announced their commitment to the program.

Arthur Scott, a defensive lineman from Streetsboro, Ohio, kicked off the day with a morning commitment. Appleton North linebacker Ben Wenzel delivered his news in the afternoon.

And in the evening? That belonged to Djidjou (D.J.) Bah. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman from Germantown High School just outside of Memphis announced his commitment to the Badgers at 7:47 p.m..

“Badger Nation I’m home,” he wrote on X, using an emoji for home.

Bah is considered a three-star prospect by Rivals, 247sports and On3. He, however, was such a priority tor the Badgers that both defensive line coach E.J. Whitlow and outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell visited him at school.

Earlier this month Bah listed his top eight schools, which in addition to Wisconsin included Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Memphis, Michigan State, North Carolina State and Northwestern.

He made an official visit to Northwestern last month and had an official slated for Michigan State later this month.

He made 56 tackles last season that included 14 ½ tackles for a loss and 7 ½ sacks.
