Wisconsin football lands commitment from 2026 athlete, former Ole Miss commit

Wisconsin football landed a commitment from class of 2026 athlete Zion Legree on Sunday evening.

Legree pledged to the Badgers on the heels of his official visit to the program. He was previously committed to Ole Miss from Nov. 11, 2024, until May 31, 2025. Wisconsin extended its offer on May 19, then scheduled an official visit quickly after the three-star recruit walked back his pledge to the Rebels.

247Sports ranks Legree as the No. 527 player in the class of 2026, the No. 34 athlete and the No. 74 recruit from his home state of Florida. Other notable programs on his offer sheet include Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Washington.

The talented offensive playmaker becomes Wisconsin’s 13th commitment in the class of 2026 and second in the last few days, following three-star defensive back Zachary Taylor. With Legree’s addition, that group now ranks No. 33 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten.

Luke Fickell and his staff are still working to push the class into the nation’s top-30, something that will likely require commitments from several blue-chip recruits. Attention now turns to running back Amari Latimer, wide receiver Jayden Petit, and some of the program’s other top targets in the class.
