College baseball teams, including Tennessee, will be included in MLB The Show video game in 2025

College baseball will be included in the MLB The Show video game for the first time, MLB announced Tuesday.

According to the promotional material for MLB The Show 2025, players can “begin your Road To The Show journey by playing two to three games in High School, and play three to four College games in The Amateur Years” and that the college portion of the game includes “the clank of metal bats and the rattle of chain link fences.”

The game’s trailer included shots of Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, where the College World Series is held. Teams whose logos and uniforms were included in the trailer were Vanderbilt, Tennessee, South Carolina, UCLA, LSU, Cal State Fullerton and TCU.

A spokesperson for the Tennessee baseball program confirmed to the Knoxville News Sentinel that the Vols would be included in the game. A spokesperson for Vanderbilt baseball could not immediately confirm or deny the program’s involvement.

In MLB The Show, players can act as an MLB team or as an individual player or manager. The Road to the Show mode, which is the mode in which players can utilize high school and college baseball gameplay, allows players to create their own athlete who progresses through various levels of baseball before making it to the majors.
