Head coach Jon Scheyer and Duke are still meshing their pieces together. The athleticism is jarring, but they are playing at a slower pace, looking for a more methodical approach on offense rather than a razzle-dazzle blitzkrieg.

The projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft is averaging 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 44.2% from the field. He had a couple of costly turnovers on the national stage against Kentucky. The tilt in the desert is an opportunity for redemption.

Junior guard Tyrese Proctor has posted 12.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 47.2% from the field.
Duke has the clear advantage from beyond the arc. In addition to the hot hand, their defense has held the opposition to just 25.7% from deep and 28.2% from mid-range.
This will be the first true road test for the new-look Blue Devils. The ZonaZoo will be in full effect.
