8. Audi Crooks, C, Iowa State
Crooks was named Iowa’s Miss Basketball during her final high school season in 2023. While the Hawkeyes continued to dominate many of the headlines in the state during her first collegiate season, the 6-foot-3 center quietly led Iowa State to the NCAA Tournament as well, putting on an impressive 40-point, 12-rebound performance in a first-round victory. Overall, Crooks averaged 19.2 points and 7.8 rebounds as a freshman, shooting an efficient 57.7% from the field. Crooks’ size allows her to dominate in the low post, but she can also step out and hit an outside shot when needed. She’ll only get better as her outside shot and defensive ability continue to develop, and the sky’s the limit going forward for the Cyclones with Crooks and fellow sophomore Addy Brown leading the charge.
