EUGENE — Oregon is awaiting word from the NCAA regarding the medical hardship waivers for Nate Bittle and Mookie Cook.
Bittle averaged 10.0 points and 4.4 rebounds in five starts last season but was sidelined due to a wrist injury and illness. Cook missed the first 13 games of last season recovering from ankle surgery, played 32 minutes over five games but reaggravated the injury and did not play again. They’re each seeking the hardship waivers, colloquially known as medical redshirts, to retain an additional year of eligibility.
